Our events

Events each week

Each week, we organize various events to allow meetings between young internationals and French students. If you don't want to miss any of our events, follow us on Facebook

We do our best so that everyone can participate in our events, without cost being a barrier to the social inclusion of all. Some of are events are free and for paying events, the association always makes sure that the prices are as low as possible.

Our events enable to discover the city and the region and to discover the french culture through solidarity, cultural, festive and fun events.

Discover the city

To familiarise you with Clermont-Ferrand, as soon as you arrive, we organise several events to allow you to get to know the city and meet friends: photo rally, European walk, Welcome Week, everything is designed to make you feel welcome!

In mid-September, we organise a Welcome Week with one event per day. On the programme: Café des langues, restaurant, flag party, photo rally, day at the PAL and Puy-de-Dôme climb.

Café des langues

Every Tuesday evening, from September to May, the meeting is held from 8pm at the Bar d'O. This weekly meeting at the bar allows exchanges and encounters between internationals who wish to speak French and French people who wish to speak foreign languages. Each week, ice-breaking activities to facilitate exchanges are organized around a theme that varies according to the calendar: board games, discovering Europe, Halloween, the galette des rois, etc...

Discover the region

Auvergne is a beautiful region but not always easy to visit if you don't have a car. WorldTop ESN regularly organises trips in bus to explore the Auvergne countryside, which is green in spring and snowy in winter.

Solidarity events

Solidarity is at the heart of our values. We do everything we can to help students get settled at a lower cost with the "Bourse aux objets" which takes place every year in September and February. This is an economical and ecological concept as it involves reselling the equipment we have collected at a minimal price. Dishes, pots, pans, sieves, basins, etc... for 5€ students can fill their cupboards.

Every year, we also organise a food collection during a participative Karaoke that we donate to Secours Populaire. This is a way of making a nice gesture and proving that young people are supportive and generous.

Christmas and New Year's Eve

For all those who are far from home, family and friends, WorldTop ESN's mission is to ensure that no one is left alone during the festive season, which is time of great conviviality in French culture. Each year, we organise a traditional Christmas dinner with a "bûche de Noël" for dessert and at the end of the meal, students who wish to do so are invited to attend Christmas mass, regardless of their faith.

For New Year's Eve, we organise a party, a very festive moment with a midnight countdown.

5. 4. 3. 2. 1. .... HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Cultural events

Clermont-Ferrand culturally richer than it first appears: international short film festival, Europavox festival, birthplace of the philosopher Blaise Pascal, headquarters of Michelin, etc... It is not for nothing that the city of Clermont-Ferrand is a candidate for the title of European Capital of Culture for 2028! Worldtop ESN is here to reveal all the hidden treasures of Clermont.

WorldTop ESN is also about intercultural exchanges and opening up to new cultures. During the international dinners we let the internationals and Erasmus students share their gastronomy. A very convivial meal during which we can discover dishes or drinks from Greece, Peru, Italy, Morocco, China,... Students are real chefs! Interculturality has never been so good.

Festive events

At WorldTop ESN, we love to have fun and party to unwind from classes. Nothing beats a good bowling or laser game session to let off steam. Regarding parties at the bar, any excuse is good enough: the beginning of the school year, the end of exams, St Patrick's Day, karaoke... it's so good to have a drink or to let off steam on the dance floor!

In November, we organise an autumn gala. It's a chance to dress up, dance the night away and take some great photos with our friends from all over the world.

In mid-March, we also celebrate the association's anniversary. It's great to blow out another candle all together every year and to sing Happy Birthday in all languages.
